From idea to a paying medical SaaS in 14 weeks
Cami.Med gives private-practice doctors in Mexico one place to run the consultation: the patient's clinical record, the agenda across several offices, prescriptions, legal consents — and an AI assistant that does the reading and typing for them.
The challenge
Specialists were juggling paper files, WhatsApp, a calendar and lab PDFs, and losing 15 to 30 minutes per patient just capturing history. The product had to be trustworthy with sensitive health data (LFPDPPP, NOM-004), bill subscriptions from day one, and reach paying doctors within weeks — not quarters.

What we built
We took the product from spec to production as the founder's technical team: architecture, data model with row-level security, the AI layer, billing, legal compliance and the public site. AI is applied where it removes work, never where it replaces the doctor's judgement — every AI output is reviewed before it touches the record.
- Smart-fill: the doctor dictates in natural language and the clinical history is structured into the right sections automatically
- Study analysis: upload a lab PDF, image or ECG and get key values, out-of-range flags and a preliminary read
- Clinical snapshot: a 30-second executive summary of the patient before each consultation
- Agenda for multiple offices, appointment types, blackouts, email reminders and calendar feeds (Google, Apple, Outlook)
- Digital prescriptions shared by WhatsApp or email; legal documents signed by patients through a public link
- Plans for solo doctors, doctor + assistants, and clinics with role-based permissions; Stripe subscriptions and customer portal
- Privacy package validated by a lawyer, MFA, append-only audit log, immutable versioning of notes and prescriptions
